WHEN SECURITY IS WEAK

When Cyber Security Fails, your whole business is exposed

Cyber threats don’t just affect computers. They can disrupt your people, compromise sensitive information, interrupt operations and damage the trust you’ve built with customers.

Protect Your People

Phishing, stolen passwords and compromised accounts can turn an everyday mistake into a serious security incident.

Your Data

Customer records, emails, documents and business information need protection from unauthorised access, loss and theft.

Your Operations

Ransomware, compromised accounts or unavailable systems can prevent your team from accessing the technology they depend on.

Your Reputation

A security incident can affect more than your systems. It can undermine customer confidence and create difficult questions.

    FAQs

Questions We’re Frequently Asked about Cybersecurity Services

Thinking of Cybersecurity services? Here are answers to some of the most common questions businesses ask before making the move.

Having antivirus and a firewall does not necessarily mean your business is adequately protected. A good starting point is to review your devices, Microsoft 365 environment, user access, security settings, backups and existing controls to identify gaps and prioritise the biggest risks.

Microsoft 365 includes useful security features, but they need to be configured correctly and supported by appropriate policies and controls. Security should also cover devices, identities, email, data, backups and how employees access business systems.

Yes. Cybersecurity is not only an issue for large organisations. The level of protection should be proportionate to your risks, the information you hold and the impact an incident would have on your business. You do not necessarily need expensive or complicated security tools.

Costs depend on your number of users and devices, existing technology, security requirements and the level of protection needed. Rather than buying more security products by default, I’d recommend identifying your main risks first and investing where it will make the biggest difference.

There is rarely one single risk. Compromised accounts, phishing, weak access controls, vulnerable devices and human error can all contribute to security incidents. Using several sensible layers of protection reduces the reliance on any one security measure.

It should not. Some additional controls may change how employees sign in or access information, but good security should balance protection with productivity. Measures should be proportionate to the risk rather than making everyday work unnecessarily difficult.

The priority is to contain the account, investigate what happened and check whether other users, data or systems have been affected. Having appropriate security controls, monitoring and a clear response plan can help limit the impact and support a quicker recovery.

It can help you put appropriate technical controls in place and provide evidence of how your IT environment is protected. However, cybersecurity tools alone do not automatically make an organisation compliant. Your requirements will depend on your business, customers, contracts and applicable regulations.

Cybersecurity should be reviewed regularly rather than treated as a one-off project. Your technology, employees and threats change over time, so reviewing security periodically and after significant business or technology changes helps identify new gaps before they become bigger problems.

Start by understanding your current position. Review your accounts, devices, Microsoft 365 security, backups, access controls and existing protection. From there, you can prioritise the most important improvements rather than buying security products without knowing whether they address your actual risks.
